The documents
Six documents govern use of this service. All of them are written against the code rather than from a template, which is why they are specific about the things a template would have smoothed over.
An organization is bound by the terms of service, the acceptable use policy, the billing terms, and the data processing agreement. A school is also covered by the student privacy commitments. A household needs the terms, the acceptable use policy, the billing terms, and the privacy policy; the data processing agreement is for organizations.
Terms of service
The agreement itself. What the service does, what it cannot do, who owns the response policy, how disputes are resolved, and the limits on our liability.

Privacy policy
Every category of personal data this system holds, listed without euphemism, along with who it reaches, how long it is kept, and the rights you can exercise.

Data processing agreement
The controller and processor terms for organizational customers, including the complete subprocessor list, the security measures, and the schools addendum.

Student privacy
What a district gets in writing: school-official status under FERPA, no advertising, no student profiles, no sale of student information, and no biometrics.

Acceptable use policy
What the service may and may not be used for. Two prohibitions carry the weight: do not watch a person with it, and do not summon a response you do not need.

Billing, refunds and cancellation
How you are billed, what is never billed, and what cancellation actually means for a site that is being watched.
