Data processing

What data this service handles

This is a draft and has not been reviewed by counsel. Schools should also confirm state student-privacy registry requirements, which go beyond federal law in several states.

Video never leaves your premises

The appliance connects outbound only and analyses streams locally. No video is recorded, transmitted, or retained by this service. There is no inbound path from us to your cameras or your network.

What is transmitted

A cropped still frame accompanying each detection, along with the camera name, timestamp, confidence band, and detected class. Nothing else from the video stream is sent.

No biometrics

No face recognition, gait analysis, or any other biometric identification is performed, stored, or made available — not for staff, not for students, not for anyone. Tracking follows a person's path between cameras during a single incident and computes no identity.

Personal data we hold

Names, email addresses, and phone numbers for the people you designate to receive alerts, and account records for your users. Alert delivery records reference recipients by name so that historical incidents remain readable after someone leaves.

Retention and deletion

Detection frames and incident records are retained per your configured retention period, after which deletion is automatic and logged. Audit log entries are retained for the life of the account because they are append-only by design.

Law enforcement access

An agency you invite receives scoped access to incidents while they are open. They cannot browse historical footage, change configuration, or view your roster. Every access is written to your audit log and visible to your administrators.
