Terms of service

Terms

These terms are a draft and have not been reviewed by counsel. Do not rely on them.

What this service does

OptiArms analyses video streams from cameras you provide and raises alerts when its detector identifies what it assesses to be a visible firearm. Alerts are delivered to recipients you designate, through a response configuration you choose.

What it does not do

The service does not detect concealed weapons. It does not prevent violence, injury, or death. It is not a monitoring service, a security guard, or a substitute for emergency services. No accuracy, detection rate, or false-alert rate is guaranteed, and none is represented as a fixed figure.

You own your response policy

You choose which alert mode applies, who receives alerts, and which actions may fire without human confirmation. Those choices are yours, are recorded, and are surfaced to you alongside your own measured false-alert rate before you make them. You are responsible for training your people on what to do when an alert arrives.

False alerts

The service will produce alerts for objects that are not firearms. You acknowledge this at setup and annually thereafter. Documented incidents in this product category include armed law-enforcement responses to false alerts. Your configuration determines how far a false alert travels before a person intervenes.

Video and data

Video is analysed on premises and is not transmitted to us. Cropped frames attached to a detection are transmitted and retained per your retention settings. No biometric identification is performed at any point.
